This September, YB Foods proudly exhibited at World Food India 2025, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. It’s India’s largest food and agri-business event, convening over 90 countries, pioneering companies, leading investors, and policymakers to advance the future of food through collaboration, sustainability, and innovation.
Our Mission: Bringing Millets to the World
As co-founders, Bhanudas Kokate and I arrived at World Food India to showcase YB Foods’ diverse, healthy product offerings—especially our innovative millet-based snacks, premixes, and sweets. We believe millets are the superfood of tomorrow, owing to their nutrition, adaptability, and rich culinary potential. The buzz at our stall was a testament to growing global interest in Indian superfoods. Our vision to promote plant-based, clean-label nutrition aligns strongly with the event’s central theme: creating food for a healthier planet.
Meaningful Connections and Partnerships
One of the greatest values of World Food India was the opportunity to meet industry leaders and decision-makers:
- Aditya Bagri (Director, Baggrys): Discussing strategic collaboration for our Roasted Chiwda category provided exciting new possibilities. Aditya’s expertise in healthy cereals and granolas complements our innovation vision for the Indian snack market.
- Ajay Kangralkar (SkyRoots): Ajay’s entrepreneurial journey inspires us—his commitment to wellness and sustainability echoes our own. As our existing customer, Ajay is exporting YB Foods’ millet-based snacks to the USA and New Zealand, demonstrating Indian innovation is in high global demand.
- Parth Parikh & Aparna Ma’am (Millet Matters): These founders are allies in our mission to mainstream millets, making nutrition accessible and enjoyable. Their advocacy and community-building efforts are changing habits—and driving market growth.
- Pooja Kohli (BerryLife): Pooja’s company was our stand-out first white-label partnership, and over four years our working relationship has flourished into a lasting friendship built on integrity, entrepreneurship, and mutual support.
Event Highlights & Industry Insights
From day one, World Food India 2025 buzzed with energy, expert talks, and tasting sessions. The opening ceremony, graced by Chirag Paswan, Minister of Food Processing, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, set a visionary tone for India’s leadership in food innovation, exports, and agri-tech. The government’s commitment to doubling farmers’ income, promoting exports, and building sustainable supply chains was palpable. Partner countries like New Zealand and Saudi Arabia brought global perspectives, and focus nations such as Japan, UAE, and Russia showcased opportunities for collaboration.
Our team engaged in knowledge-sharing sessions on supply chain modernization, export certification, and emerging consumer trends. As business partners, Bhanudas Kokate and I were thrilled to showcase our stall—packed with samples, live product demos, and interactive meetings. The vibrancy and professionalism of our setup attracted new buyers seeking reliable partners for private labeling, bulk deals, and export-ready healthy foods.
More Than Business: Building Community
World Food India is not only a powerful platform for trade—it’s a celebration of community and shared aspirations. Our conversations ranged from technical know-how and market strategy to local tastes and cultural connections. There were moments of laughter, friendship, and genuine warmth that reminded us business is built on trusted relationships.
Moments captured with our partners and customers—old and new—symbolize the heart of YB Foods: a company grounded in trust, innovation, and a dedication to collective success. Our journey is as much about the people on the road with us as the destinations we reach together.
Looking Ahead
As YB Foods moves forward, we’re energized by the partnerships, insights, and enthusiasm experienced at World Food India 2025. Our commitment to global quality, healthy innovation, and community-building remains stronger than ever. We pledge to continue delivering nutritious, plant-based foods that foster business growth and promote wellness worldwide.
